AES offers a variety of services; from academic and logístical support for semester and short term programmes as well as accommodation and study centre venues.

**Team Purpose**

AES, a leading provider of educational support services and student accommodation in London. The main responsibilities of the Academic Services team are:

- Co-ordinating the academic content of all experiential learning programmes.
- Placing students in suitable internships to fulfil their academic & personal goals.
- Providing support, guidance and pastoral care for all students.
- End to end running of all experiential learning programmes (In-person and virtual).
- Expanding and enhancing our programme offerings.
- The department is overseen by the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). _

**The Role**

**Experiential Learning Programmes**

This role will provide key administrative support in order to ensure the smooth running of our experiential learning and internship programmes, including working directly with students, university partners and host employers.
- Prepare arrival and orientation documents.
- Liaise with internship site supervisors to finalise placement details.
- Collate student timetables (academic & placement).
- Monitor, log and chase attendance of all interns (academic & internship).
- Arrange & conduct (as necessary) mid evaluation assessments (both online & in-person) for all students with all relevant parties and members of the internships team.
- Distribute and compile final evaluations at the end of term.
- Assist the Placements Lead with research for new placements and updating the database accordingly.
- Be responsible for document management & electronic filing.
- Other ad-hoc duties

**Student Services**

This role is student facing, and the position holder will play a key role in ensuring our students are enrolled successfully and have a first-rate experience during their time in London or on one of our virtual programmes.
- Assist in the delivery of all onboarding and orientation programmes including support and advice for students when re-locating to London.
- Ensure all pre-arrival documentation is created and distributed accordingly.
- Liaise with the team on the provision of pastoral care for students on wide ranging issues including but not limited to workplace concerns, career advice and wellbeing alongside the rest of the team.
- Assist with the student social programme.
- Arrange & conduct (as necessary) in-person student course evaluations.

**About you**

The position holder will be joining a small, friendly and dynamic team. The whole team roll their sleeves up and get stuck in with things which are both within and outside of their usual ‘day to day.’ As such, there will be times when you may be asked to support other teams within the business and have a chance to broaden and enhance your skill set in other areas.

- Experience of office administration
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Positive attitude and highly motivated
- Ability to prioritise work, use initiative and meet deadlines
- Experience of providing administrative support including diary management
- Enthusiastic phone manner and confident in engaging with students and partners.
- Good interpersonal skills & a sympathetic attitude.
- Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
