**Your Role and Responsibilities**
As a Test Specialist at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create. Come work in an agile environment where you will help each iteration reach the next level. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to IBM’ers and our clients. In your role, you will:

- Own and independently develop test strategy approach and solutions that support automated QA testing of all aspects of the product.
- Follow and help define QA best practices and actively contribute to the QA practice community.
- Contribute towards working in an agile team and helping that team meet its wider goals.
- Work collaboratively within the team using Agile Way of Working, using such tools as Slack, WebEx and JIRA.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Strong Automation Test skills required, including automated testing tools & frameworks such as Gherkin/Cucumber, Selenium, Jest, Citrus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience of working in an agile software development environment.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience of some of the following technologies and approaches for planning and executing automated QA tasks: Gitlab CI, Docker, custom API testing, Junit, REST Assure.
- Proficient in best practices like Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Performance Testing using open-source toolsets.
- Hands-on experience with functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, mobile testing, big data testing, cross platform testing, component testing, security testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing, A/B testing.
