**Job Title: Penetration Tester**
**Responsibilities**:
- **Vulnerability Assessment**:
- **Penetration Testing**:
- Perform both internal and external penetration testing.
- **Web Application Testing**:
- **Network Security Testing**:
- Evaluate the security of network infrastructure, identifying misconfigurations, weak protocols, and other vulnerabilities.
- **Wireless Network Security Testing**:
- Assess the security of wireless networks, identifying vulnerabilities and potential exploits.
- **Social Engineering Testing**:
- Conduct social engineering tests to assess the human factor in security, including phishing simulations and other forms of manipulation.
- **Reporting**:
- Document and communicate findings and recommendations in detailed reports.
- Provide insights into the severity and potential impact of identified vulnerabilities.
- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other security professionals, IT teams, and management to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to security.
- **Tool Utilization**:
- Use various penetration testing tools and frameworks to automate and streamline testing processes.
- **Research**:
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Continuously improve skills and methodologies through ongoing research.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or other industry-recognized certifications.
**Skills**:
- Proficient in using penetration testing tools and frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
**Experience**:
- Typically, a few years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
Penetration Testers play a crucial role in helping organizations identify and address security vulnerabilities, contributing to the overall improvement of an organization's cybersecurity posture. Ethical conduct, attention to detail, and the ability to think like an attacker are essential qualities for a successful Penetration Tester.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.42-£14.51 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
