Joao’s Place is a destination bar in its own right with a private terrace overlooking Calton Hill and the Firth of Forth, serving curated cocktails and bar snacks.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Bars Manager for W Edinburgh, the Host/Hostess will have overall responsibility for ensuring guests are welcomed and assisted to provide exceptional service to our guests.

As Host/Hostess key aspects of your role will include:

- Be the face of Joao’s Place - the first and last impression the guest has of us
- Welcome guests warmly and personally
- Give a fond farewell that encourages guests to return
- Ensure guests are seated correctly in the restaurant according to the floor plan
- Communicate any important guest information to the waiting team and management
- Work as part of a team
- Take responsibility for ensuring a seamless guest experience
