Are you an experienced Barista and available on a Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m?

The Chamwell Centre is a state-of-the-art facility, housing a range of therapy services, dedicated to the needs of disabled children and young adults in Gloucestershire. Our mission is to transform the lives of these young people with an unrivalled range of services to help improve their well-being, physical fitness, and social interaction.

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Café Operative to work in our modern, airy café which is open to the public and offers a place to relax and unwind. Working alongside a friendly team of Lifeguards and Duty Supervisor you will be solely responsible for the kitchen and café on Sundays.

You will welcome customers with a smile, and create high quality hot drinks, artisan toasties and other food, using an air fryer amongst other equipment. You will need to be a dab hand at baking fresh cakes, brownies, flapjacks, and cookies. When it comes to coffee you will have an expert knowledge, educating clients and colleagues about these coffees, as well as teaching the team how to flush and clean the coffee machine at the end of the day.

You will enjoy multi-tasking and be able to flit between cooking breakfasts, making milkshakes, crafting coffees, and creating toasties

Part of your role will be to take client orders and receive payments. You will also follow end of day procedures for the kitchen, cooking stations, coffee machine and café areas. (As part of the role you must be willing to undergo Fire Marshall and First Aid training and act as the responsible person in the eventuality of having to evacuate the café or having to attend to a customer if they are injured or ill.)

You will have a qualification in Food Hygiene to Level 3. Ideally you will have worked in a hospitality environment and be experienced in creating and producing high standards of food with Barista experience. Experience of cooking using a hot plate and toasting machines and able to manage a busy kitchen, (serving between 10 - 30 covers per day). You will have experience of following health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment.
