Working within the Student Support Team, you will provide administrative support for a range of learning and teaching activities, supporting the smooth operation of the Department and contributing to the leadership of the Learning and Teaching Support team.

You will lead on matters relating to the department’s Outreach (schools liaison) activities, along with other Widening Participation Activities. You will lead on the planning and management of departmental events to support a strong sense of community for our students, to promote employability and to strengthen links with its alumni.

As a part of the teaching support leadership team, you will co-manage the departmental timetable processes for taught programmes and assist with the administration of teaching delivery and assessment related activities where required, such as the recruitment, allocation and deployment of Graduate Teaching Assistants and Undergraduate Demonstrators, Disability Liaison processes, examinations planning and examination board support.

You will have substantial proven administration experience in a busy, fast-paced office environment, ideally within Higher Education. You will have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure. A confident user of IT, you will have experience of managing and manipulating large amounts of data efficiently. With exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you will have the ability to act with diplomacy and to present complex information clearly and concisely. A flexible team player, you will be able to motivate others and direct their activities towards achieving strategic goals.
