Job Introduction **The Role**The Repairs and Maintenance Team is an integral part of the Housing delivery Service maintaining and repairing 8,700.00 homes across the county of Northumberland the team is comprised of multi-skilled trades Team Leaders Schedulers and Managers the team is currently 100 and will grow with additional responsibility and workstreams. - The person who undertakes the role must be dynamic and self-starting with a passion for supporting teammates and keen to use their skill sets to meet the needs of the service and its users The team have a can-do approach to every day and are inclusive and open to its members forwarding their ideas around improvements to service delivery.We are looking for a Reactive Repairs Support Officer to provide administrational and financial service support to the operational team delivering repairs and maintenance. The job is demanding and requires a self-staring and organised individual who can work hard with mínimal supervision and who will help deliver a meaningful service to its users and the residents of Northumberland in general.

**Role of The Job**Working as a key team member supporting a busy Repairs and Maintenance Team, the role spans across all aspects of the maintenance function the successful applicant will find themselves working with managers team leaders and the scheduling team in providing excellent services to the councils housing customers This role will be expected to manage and mentor apprentices and new members of staff in an operational support team. To provide support to the team in areas such as;
- Disrepair Claims
- Lead officer dealing with service complaints carrying out the investigations linking with the operational area team leaders to gather information and draft responses to complainants ready for sign off by relevant managers - updating the complaints systems when closing the complaints.
- Raising and tracking purchase orders to a conclusion updating records.
- Supporting scheduling for the team with holiday cover as and when required.
- Linking with the Councils accounts payable team when dealing with invoice queries and claims.
- Updating the Councils information systems in a timely manner and maintain financial records.
- Devise and produce service performance reports on a weekly / monthly basis, identifying areas of performance that could be focused on and update the service managers and team leaders using the information - Provide ideas and solutions in performance monitoring to assist the team to increase its service performance and Key Performance Indicators.
- Lead officer for the taking and recording of minutes of meetings.
- Based in Blyth Civic Centre with some travel to other operational sites in the County
- Full-time 37 hrs. per week, Band 4 £24,294 - £25,979

**Requirements of the Role**
- The person who undertakes the role must be dynamic and self-starting with a passion for supporting teammates and keen to use their skill sets to meet the needs of the service and its users The team have a can-do approach to every day and are inclusive and open to its members forwarding their ideas around improvements to service delivery.
- Level 4 Qualification in Business administration and customer service - or substantial and recent experience in this field
- Good standard of education in Math's and English
- Full UK clean driving license is advantageous ,though not essential
- I.T. qualifications linked to the role would also be advantageous
