Support us in the ongoing professional development of our Forensic Services Team.

Forensic Services carry out crime scene investigations and a range of forensic analysis and evidence handling as part of the investigation process.

We are looking for a Training and Competency Coordinator, based in the vicinity of Hucknall, on a full-time permanent basis, to manage, co-ordinate in the delivery of a robust programme for evidencing practitioner competence in accordance with the requirements of accreditation, providing guidance and support to the Management Team and practitioners within EMSOU-FS.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with the Management Team and the Quality Unit to enable the delivery of forensic training to the staff of EMSOU-FS and seek out opportunities for the delivery of Continuous Professional Development.
- Develop, record and manage a standardised training framework, to ensure staff skills and competency are reviewed, assessed and documented across EMSOU-FS within the requirements of the Quality Management System and engage with the Quality and Management Team to ensure this is embedded into business as usual.
- To work closely with CSI Regional Trainer to ensure practitioner training competency procedures are aligned and adhered to the UKAS BSEN ISO 17025/17020, Skills for Justice National Occupational Standards and Forensic Regulators Code of Practice and Conduct.
- To manage staff and students where required following HR processes and procedures.

**The must haves**
- A minimum of a GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent qualification or demonstrate the ability to work at that level.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO17025, ISO17020 and the FSR Act 2021
- Supervisory experience
- Proven experience of delivering change

**Salary**: - £29,085 - £35,982

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
