Are you a special needs teaching assistant looking for a full-time job role in a special school in Manchester area. £80 min pay per day.

Chalk Education is recruiting for a full-time special needs teaching assistant to support children with autism and complex needs. Experience of working in a similar setting is desired with knowledge of autism, speech and language and behaviour difficulties.

This is an independent special school who care for young people aged between 8-25 years who experience autism and complex learning and behavioural needs. Their curriculum is informed by principles of outbound and situational learning, for those who cannot cope with a traditional classroom setting.

Hours of work Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30, part-time or full-time.

**To be considered for this SEND Teaching Assistant role you will need**:

- Experience working with children who have Autism and Complex Needs
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant or similar qualification desired.
- Training in Manual Handling, Hoists, Personal Care, would be an advantage.
- A positive attitude with a calm but firm approach

**Additional requirements**:

- References confirming suitability for role
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
