- West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint a Senior CCTV Officer (ISO) to join the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS). As part of its busy operational team, based at Calder Park, Wakefield, this role can be worked as part of the flexi time scheme or on a shift pattern. Working shifts would attract an additional 12.5% shift allowance and a weekend working enhancement. The position attracts the following benefits:

- Working under the direction of the CCTV Supervisor, you will ensure work is quality controlled in accordance with regional, national and ISO requirements. This will support the ISO 17025 and ISO 17020 accreditation standards, as well as the continual improvements that can be made to processes and procedures. You will assist in enabling the team to deliver the best evidence for customers and ensure equipment and staff are compliant with departmental requirements.
- Under the direction of the Technical Manager, you will be involved in the testing, evaluating and validation of equipment, processes, and methods to ensure they meet the needs of the section. You will complete competency testing, dip sampling, and audits for staff within the unit to ensure they remain compliant; all whilst delivering best evidence to assist as part of the criminal justice process.
- Whilst conforming to all local, national and ISO guidelines, you will be expected to attend crime scenes to facilitate the forensic recovery of CCTV media in a secure and evidential manner. The role will also require you to act as senior point of contact for CCTV related enquiries, for prioritising resources and for ensuring that accurate records are maintained.
- The Imaging Unit CCTV Section has successfully achieved ISO 17025 accreditation and as a Senior CCTV Officer (ISO) the role will be responsible for assisting in maintaining standards through ongoing assessment, testing and feedback. Whilst supporting colleagues throughout the process, you will also be responsible for ensuring that work is quality controlled. This aspect continues to be a significant area that evolves and changes, and key to this will be the responsibility for ensuring that the team conforms to accredited standards and continues to improve and shape new processes.-
