To be based in the **Epsom**, **Aldershot** or **Croydon** office, we are recruiting individuals with experience across the Transport Planning discipline to help deliver a range of projects from place making to development and multi-modal transport infrastructure. Atkins are the Framework Consultants for Surrey County Council, Portsmouth City Council, as well as working with Oxfordshire County Council and National Highways in the Southeast, meaning that you will have the opportunity to influence your local area. We are present in most sectors and regions so you can expect a strong local project flavour with a national reach. The industry is dynamic, and we’re always looking forward to supporting our clients to meet a digital and Net Zero future. You'll be trusted to support our clients and project portfolio, and we're ready to help you grow.

**Your purpose**:
Collaborating with specialists from across our business as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll work on flagship sustainable transport interventions and decarbonisation strategies. Making the most of your transport planning knowledge and experience, you’ll shape Business Cases, feasibility studies, policies, design and assessment of our places and multi-modal transport networks which will deliver a step change in accessibility across the region.

**What you can bring?**

Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate a capability in any of the following:

- Development of transport strategies and plans (local and strategic).
- Scheme appraisal and business case preparation.
- Transport scheme development.
- Feasibility and Corridor Studies.
- Multi-modal transport strategies.
- Development Planning and Master Planning.
- Excellent report writing, numerical presentation and communications skills.
