Role Description

This is a new role under Group Operational Efficiency (GOE) with responsibility to identify automation opportunities across the globe, work with the Efficiency team to identify the solution and prioritise the development and implementation.

This group will:
1. Liaise with the operational teams globally to capture all efficiency opportunities, ensuring they are agreed and prioritized accordingly with the Senior stakeholders.

2. Use data to identify further opportunities for automation tracking progress by the Group.

3. Develop an operating model for the efficiency products in scope to calculate the optimal support.

To work independently and within the wider GOE team to interrogate existing IT systems and business models, analyse opportunities (both business and technical) and define the priorities for GOE. These activities will likely all include the management of senior stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure that the solutions are achievable and can meet the proposed efficiency. They will also manage the stakeholder approval process by ensuring that each efficiency is fully accepted by the business prior to any development commencing.

Decisions for each efficiency need to be supported by data as well as providing metrics for measuring success post implementation. These metrics can also be used to support new business cases as well as develop target operating models for the new technology and processes that gets developed and deployed by GOE.

There is an expectation that they will understand the industry that FNZ operate in, how artificial intelligence and intelligent automation tools can be deployed in change programs as well the more traditional methodologies we use to support our business.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Opportunity:

- Part of the GOE Leadership team managing the groups efficiency roadmap and priorities.
- Create and manage a team that generate the roadmap for the operation change within FNZ.
- Build a data analysis team that can be used to support and validate opportunities.
- Build a data reporting team that can be used to present and track opportunities to senior management.
- Working closely with Operations (on-site if required) to develop solutions and testing these solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Work closely with the GOE delivery team to understand the agreed scope of a change and design solutions that meet the business and technical requirements within that defined scope.
- Understanding the features that make up the solution from the end user perspective, ensuring these are documented accurately.
- Provide guidance and clarity to technical resources around the business requirements and user stories.
- Interact with FNZ S&S and Investment Operations functions, as required, throughout the lifecycle and post-implementation.
- Have a good knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the analyst operates and ensure that all solutions deliver a compliant platform.

Technology:

- Understand the Groups technical capabilities and how these can be deployed to maximize the business benefit.
- Keep up to date with the latest and/or relevant technologies, tools and methods. Identify adoption of processes, technology and tools best suited to FNZ.
- Have a good understanding of operational technologies and how these can be deployed to maximize efficiency.

Preferred Industry Knowledge
- 5 years + in an operational change background with a proven track record in change.
- Used to working with both internal and external stakeholders creating and presenting business cases.
- Used to senior stakeholder management and influencing decisions within an organisation.
- General investment/wealth/life and/or pensions products and the markets in which FNZ and our customers operate.
- An understanding of the regulatory environment FNZ operate within.

Required Knowledge & Skills
- Previous experience working within operations and / or a product role.
- Good understanding of AI and how this could be further developed.
- Confident, and able to take initiative given the client and delivery-focused environment.
- Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.
- Superior analytical thinking.
- Intermediate computer skills essential (SQL experience desirable).
- Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills.
- Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills
- Presentation skills.
- Data analytics and how this can be presented to maximize business cases.
