We explore the charm and creation of handcrafted artifacts from across the Indian subcontinent whilst using in-house fabric alongside recycled products.

We are passionate about keeping small industries alive and work alongside independent designers, brands and craftspeople to fill homes around the world with handmade, vintage and rare finds.

**Position Overview**:
Ishq.Uk are looking to provide students with hands-on experience in the world of sustainable fashion and design. As a Sustainable Fashion Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative upcycling and recycling projects, contributing to our commitment to eco-friendly fashion practices. You will gain hands-on experience whilst collaborating with our experienced team; working towards creating unique, environmentally conscious, designs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work on upcycling and recycling projects: work closely with our team to design and create sustainable fashion pieces using upcycling and recycling techniques. Contribute your unique creative ideas to these projects.
- Research: stay updated on the latest sustainable fashion trends and materials. Conduct research to discover innovative and environmentally friendly design techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program in fashion design, sustainable fashion, or a related field.
- Strong passion for and commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly fashion.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks and projects.
- Basic knowledge of fashion photography and photoshoot coordination is a plus.
- Knowledge of the têxtile industry across the Indian subcontinent is a plus.

**Duration**:
We are open to interns working on a part-time basis or on a “per-design” basis
