Social Personnel have a client in Bracknell Forest seeking a Permanent Social Worker in the MASH Team;
Daily and monthly responsibilities

-1) To identify the needs of children and families, promote intervention and safeguarding and negotiate delivery of services where appropriate.
- 2) To work with Adult Workers (domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse workers) as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- 3) To work alongside other professionals and agencies for example in assessing children in need, undertaking child protection enquiries and within Child in Need and Child Protection Plans to promote placement stability for children and young people.
- 4) To manage a caseload dependant on location; either a duty caseload of single assessments under S17 and S47 of the Children’s Act and some short-term work (where this means the referral can be resolved speedily); Child in Need; Child Protection; Care Proceedingsor Children Looked After and provide assessment, case planning, intervention and family support according to expertise.
- 5) To take part in the team Duty system responding to concerns as and when they arise.
- 6) To make effective use of time and be able to prioritise workload, ensuring timeliness in visiting, report writing and other deadlines.
- 7) To attend and prepare for regular supervision with your supervisor, utilise critical reflection to be able to set clear goals and intervention strategies.
- 8) To contribute to service development and learning of others.
- 9) To monitor and evaluate demand and bring to the attention of the supervisor any resource shortfalls.
- 10) To develop and maintain accurate case records and comply with the Department's policies, procedures and guidelines including security of information.
- 11) To promote listening to children at every opportunity; ensuring their views are heard, recorded and acted upon in an appropriate and timely manner and to ensure life journey work is completed with children and young people in accordance with their ageand understanding.
- 12) To aspire in ASPIRE priorities:

vi. Engaging with children - Always ask yourself "what is life like for this child?"
- 13) To ensure access to translation & interpretation services as necessary.
- 14) To contribute to the development of services to children and families by attending and contributing positively to team meetings to promote the delivery of integrated and effective services for children in need and in need of protection in accordancewith statutory responsibilities and council policies using best value principles.
- 15) To provide cover for the work of other team members and other additional duties commensurate with the level of the job. (The nature of these will vary according to experience, competencies and the grade of the post).
- To support the development of others by delivering training, coaching and learning sessions. - To support the assessment and support of students, newly qualified social workers (ASYEs)

and Family Workers.
- To provide regular, purposeful and reflective supervision to social work students and Family

Workers.
- To work with families who have a higher level of need/complexity.
