As an Agency Staff Support Coordinator, you will be an integral part of a high performing, energetic and client focused team who are passionate about making real changes for young people. This role is responsible for coaching and developing our Support Workers providing care to children and young people under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive in a Department of Child Protection (DCP) Residential Care facility. Day to day you will support your workers by providing effective supervision and support, incident debriefing and follow-up, performance monitoring and management, training and professional development, record administration and data management.
- Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:_
- Ensure efficient service delivery consistent with contractual KPIs by providing a responsive supply of Support Workers to the Department of Child Protection consistent with contractual time frames
- Involvement with the recruitment and onboarding of new Support Workers, including interviewing, facilitating induction and role-based training sessions
- Administrative and reporting tasks, such as ensuring documentation and paperwork is completed to a high standard
- Role model behaviours consistent with a team culture of continuous improvement knowledge sharing, resilience, and collaboration.

You are passionate about supporting the people around you. You are a problem solver who thinks on their feet and a confident multi-tasker. You can coach and mentor our frontline staff to provide the utmost care using best practice services supporting our most vulnerable young people and children. You are a people-centred person who is confident in a group setting and delivering face to face training to our staff.
- You will also have the following skills and experience:_
- Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or other relevant discipline
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (Desirable)
- Minimum 12 months experience in working with vulnerable and at-risk children, young people and adults with complex needs
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volume fluctuating workload
- Strong Group Facilitation experience

- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check
- National Police Clearance
- Training: Provide First Aid (HLTAID004)
- Training: Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes)
- Annual Road Worthy Vehicle and willingness to drive clients for work purposes
- Willingness to undertake a DCP approved Psychological Suitability Assessment
- Willingness to complete the process for Agency Carer Registration
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours will be required
- Travel within South Australia and interstate would be required
- Evidence of current COVID 19 vaccinations including any booster requirements
