We are looking to take on a bright, enthusiastic accounts assistant who is as passionate as we are about providing outstanding accountancy services to our clients.
You will work alongside our experienced accountants and your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation, completion and submission of accounts
- Completion and submission of VAT returns
- Personal and Company Tax Returns
- Onboarding new clients
- Bank reconciliations and bookkeeping
- Communicating and resolving financial and compliance issues with clients and HMRC
- Keeping up to date technically and providing accurate and efficient advice to clients
- General ad-hoc duties that arise day to day
Ideal requirements include:
- AAT/ATT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified
- Experience of online accounting software, especially Xero and Dext
- At least 1 years recent experience in an accountancy practice
- Experience in the preparation of statutory and management accounts
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Fantastic organisational skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work under your own initiative.
