Technical Lead (Housing Improvement) Role Profile

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Plymouth City Council’s Community Connections Team as a Technical Lead focusing on Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG).

While Community Connections is a multi-disciplinary team, this role focuses on assisting with the operational delivery of DFGs and proactively contributing to the development of existing and new options. The main drivers for this role are to ensure that DFG clients can remain independent and safe in their own homes and eligible adaptations are provided in a timely manner.

The post holder will work as part of a team and with partners, considering innovative ways to make improvements to the delivery of DFGs, develop Senior Community Connections Officers & Community Connections Officers knowledge, create new policies and practices, and maintain or develop new relations with relevant partners locally, regionally, and nationally.

The person will be enthusiastic, able to work on their own and as part of a team, be a good communicator and be confident in leading on change.

This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service.
