**Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)**

If so, we want you to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant.

**Role Overview**:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young adults with ASD and complex needs within our educational institution. Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support, assisting with classroom activities, aiding in personal care tasks, and facilitating the inclusion of individuals with diverse needs into the learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide tailored support to students with ASD and complex needs, both academically and emotionally.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Support students with moving and handling requirements, particularly within Special Learning Disability (SLD) classes.
- Offer personal care assistance as needed, ensuring the dignity and well-being of each individual.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to the assessment and planning process.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with SEND, particularly ASD and complex needs.
- Understanding of and proficiency in supporting moving and handling requirements.
- Ability to assist with personal care tasks with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Passion for inclusion and a commitment to promoting diversity within the educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or healthcare (desirable but not essential).
