**Job Summary**

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to successfully move through their education? We are looking for a highly motivated Mental Wellbeing Coach to deliver educational intervention programmes, including 'Team Mates', 'Premier League Primary Stars' and 'Premier League Inspires' in our partner schools.

As Mental Wellbeing Coach you will:

- Deliver the '**Team Mates**' programme:

- Deliver our positive mental health intervention to groups of Year 6 & 7 students at our partner schools throughout the academic year;
- Deliver workshops and assemblies for pupils, students, parents and teachers around mental health;
- Lead a summer school programme for transition students;
- Support the development of Year 10 Mentors and their relationship with Year 7 students;
- Organise various events supporting the programme, including parent consultations, career and aspirational days and mentors training;
- Measure the impact of the programme through various measurement tools;
- Update online monitoring and evaluation systems and completing reports for funding partners;
- Liaise with internal and external partners in order to deliver a successful, high impact programme, including our partner secondary school, feeder primary schools, local authorities, the Greater London Authority and any other relevant partners and stakeholders.
- Deliver the '**PL Primary Stars**' programme:

- Plan and deliver sessions including targeted intervention groups, classroom workshops, social action programmes and teacher PE support lessons;
- Form positive relationships with all key partners involved in the programme including schools, teachers and parents;
- Support at a variety of events throughout the year, including school tournaments and festivals, and holiday courses out of school term.
- Deliver the '**PL Inspires**' programme:

- Deliver soft skills workshops and activities for Key Stage 3 & 4 students;
- Work with the ETE Manager to ensure employability provision is aligned to young people’s needs, demography and chosen employment pathway;
- Work collaboratively using verbal and written reports to ensure accurate and timely progress reviews, ensuring communication updates are shared with the multi-disciplinary team, parents and carers.

Other aspects of the role include:

- Support the creation of media information and case studies/good news stories to measure the impact of the programme;
- Support the administration elements of the programme including data collection & input and session compliance;
- Reporting regularly to the Mental Wellbeing Coordinator.

**Person Specification**
- A passion and interest in developing a career in the social change sector, particularly supporting young people in primary and secondary school education;
- Experience working in a school environment, with a proven track record of achievement;
- Sound knowledge of the school education system;
- Good knowledge of mental health related illnesses;
- Experience working with young people from different backgrounds;
- The ability to empathise with and give support to participants who may not feel comfortable in learning or sports related environments;
- The ability to develop and maintain relationships with schools and their staff including head teachers, SENCO and Governors;
- The ability to manage partnerships effectively so that external partners are satisfied with our work;
- Ideally possess qualifications in Physical Education, FA/UEFA football coaching or other sports coaching, Youth Mental Health First Aid, safeguarding and/or first aid;
- Be reliable, organised, flexible and willing to learn;
- Be available to work at clubs after school hours and ideally some holiday work.
