**Department**:
York’s thriving academic community is supported by a dedicated team of colleagues working in the Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) Directorate, including the Internal Funding Team (IFT) who support the management of the growing recurrent internal funding programmes at the University. The funds under RIKE management support the development of research, knowledge exchange and impact in line with the University’ strategic objectives and include HEIF (Research England), Impact Acceleration Accounts and other allocations (UKRI Research Councils) and internal University pump priming funds, as well as various smaller externally sourced funds.

**Role**:
The IFT coordinator line-manages the IFT (currently two Internal Funding Administrators), with oversight provided by the Head of the Research and Innovation Development Team. The IFT Coordinator is responsible for the overall maintenance and running of the internal funding systems, and leading development of new systems as required, handling all incoming funding for onward distribution, and making day to day decisions on the operational aspects of the funds. They also act as the primary point of internal guidance and assistance.

**Skills & Experience Needed**:

- Thorough knowledge, and experience, of administrative procedures and processes used in a busy office within a large complex organisation
- Numeracy & literacy skills with the ability to monitor income and expenditure against a financial account/budget and maintain accurate records.
- Competence in handling and creating spreadsheets, including via Google Docs.
- Competent in the design and production of a range of information and promotional documentation and literature
- Ability to create & maintain web pages and online media
- Excellent communication and highly developed interpersonal skills
