**Claims handler**

**Main Purpose of Role - All training will be provided.**

Handling your own case load, which shall include but not limited to pet insurance claims and outstanding cash debt.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Opening and dealing with pet insurance claims
- Conducting initial enquiries and making investigations as appropriate;
- Liaising with the client directly, the clients insurance company and veterinary staff on a day to day basis
- Chasing outstanding cash debt
- Reviewing accounts and compiling invoices as requested
- Managing the mail box and responding to queries on a day to day basis
- Answering and dealing with incoming telephone quires
- Assisting in other financial tasks - expenses claims, payroll, cashing up.

**Key Competencies Needed**:

- Enthusiastic positive person with a “can do” approach;
- Have strong administrative experience and finance experience
- IT literate
- Strong communication skills and good telephone manner;
- Ability to cope under pressure and respond to demands;
- Problem solving approach;
- Good organisational skills
- Self-motivation and good use of initiative;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

- Shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 5.30pm - some flexibility
