**About the Job**:
The Energy Leadership voice is translated and delivered through the Energy Business Services function. The Business Services team responds to business needs by delivering services ranging from early careers pipelines and talent development opportunities to optimise the Energy workforce for the future, to communicating key messages to the energy directorate through engaging comms & events.

Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Energy Business Services, this role offers significant responsibility and highly visible output, working across all of the Energy businesses.

The Energy Events & Project Specialist will take a principal role in planning, developing and delivering an engaging and cohesive plan for energy events and projects, while liaising with key stakeholders to maximise impact and deliver excellence.

The role provides exposure to the Energy Leadership Team and Corporate function, while managing the needs and expectations from them.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- The primary focus of this role is to deliver high quality, engaging events and talent development engagements that convey key messages from the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the Energy leadership Team (ELT), and provide opportunities for networking and exposure
- Sole responsibility for the end-to-end events and engagement process, from planning to delivery and analysis
- Work closely with the Energy Leadership team to develop content and shape events around key themes and messaging. Influence content to ensure it is aligned to the brief set out by the CCO, doesn’t overlap with any other content and is engaging for the intended audience
- Plan and develop annual events and project plan for Energy, taking other Group and Business Unit events into consideration. This includes events such as the annual energy leadership conference, Talent development engagement events and Business unit events.
- Sole responsibility for the delivery of Energy events & projects in a safe and inclusive manner, while working to tight deadlines and staying within budget
- Manage all pre and post event logistics, across venue requirements, AV & staging, merchandise, content, technology used, rehearsal feedback

- Demonstrated ability in designing and delivering engaging and interactive content
- Experienced in evaluating effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Experienced in utilising a range of engagement channels across digital and face-to-face formats
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills, with the confidence to coach others
- Proven ability to coach others and lead by example
- Proven planning and project management skills with the ability to set and work to (personal, team and business) deadlines.
