**Salary**:£39,902 FTE (0.6 of an FTE = 22.5 hours a week)

**Type of contract**: Fixed term contract from 9th Jan 2023 to 31st July 2023

The successful applicant will be required to travel to schools, events and other venues across Oxfordshire on a regular basis. A valid driving licence and own transport, or can provide alternative, suitable method of travel is require.

Work outside of standard hours including evenings and weekends may be required from time to time including attendance at meetings and events.

**2. JOB PURPOSE**

Co-ordinates and delivers the Career and Enterprise Company (CEC) and Oxfordshire Skills Board/Skills Advisory Panel’s ambitions to improve career outcomes for all young people through the Oxfordshire Careers Hub.

Responsible for identifying individual school/college needs; working with senior education leaders, career leaders and Enterprise Advisers to create bespoke careers plans so that all young people receive a high-quality careers education, including information on Apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.

**3. KEY RESULT AREAS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**3.1**

Development and promotion of the Oxfordshire Careers Hub Network by supporting a caseload of 8 schools and colleges. Ensure all institutions are matched with an Enterprise Adviser (EA) and that all schools and colleges are self-assessing their careers programme using CEC digital tools, helping to drive the Gatsby Benchmark performance to meet the KPI’s stated in the CEC contract.

Build and maintain effective relationships and lead outcome focused meetings with education leaders in local schools/colleges to ensure progress is being made across all Gatsby benchmarks and all priorities are addressed.

Act as an ambassador for The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) and OxLEP including raising the profile of the Network utilising OxLEP’s Skills Hub communication and marketing channels to engage with key local stakeholders.

Inform and guide Careers Leaders and senior education leaders through training, co-ordination, and promotion of network meetings, for example regional Educational Learning Partnerships. Actions include creating meeting agendas, writing minutes, sourcing guest speakers, and sharing best practice.

As per The CEC reporting cycle, contribute to the monitoring and impact tracking of the Network, by tracking the progress of schools/colleges (using a variety of tools and resources), identifying trends, gaps, and solutions.

Project Manage the development and delivery of careers resources and support for young people, Career Leaders, teachers, school leadership teams and parents/carers to understand the Oxfordshire labour market and the various pathways available. The role’s responsibilities includes projects such as ‘Find Your Future’ virtual career platform (and temporary virtual careers information space) and our Apprenticeship Ambassador Scheme.
- Find Your Future_ - Recruitment and retention of employers for the platform; working with developers to ensure the usability and reliability of the platform; looking at different ways for Careers Leaders, teachers, students and parents to use the platform and creating resources to enable this.
- Apprenticeship Ambassador (AA) Scheme_ - Recruitment of apprentices from Oxfordshire employers; Run induction/training sessions for AA’s, 2 per year; manage school requests for AA support at school events.

Support employers in better understanding Oxfordshire’s tight labour market, by promoting the benefits of growing their own talent pipeline and help to raise the profile of the Apprentice Ambassador Scheme, Social Contract programme and other OxLEP initiatives for employers.

Sharing learning from the CEC by delivering CPD sessions to education and business audiences which includes the use and implementation of the Oxfordshire Labour Market Intelligence webtool and sharing of volunteering opportunities/resources via the OxLEP Skills microsite.

Build an understanding of the local context of careers provision and providers including National Apprenticeship Service, National Careers Service, and Job Centre Plus.

Staying abreast of best practice examples, emerging guidance and legislation including the priorities highlighted by the Oxfordshire Skills Board, Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) and by attending the CEC’
