Head of Finance and Operations Small Ecommerce

Would suit a person with experience of managing operations in a busy environment with responsibility to meet sales targets and ensuring stock is correct.

We are looking for a Head of Finance and Operations to join our busy team full time. Working week is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week to be worked between the hours of 6am to 6.30pm. However, we are planning to run shifts on Saturday and Sunday so work outside these hours is possible in the future. We're happy to be somewhat flexible with the hours to mutually benefit us both. Note Mondays will be a longer day due to how busy it is.

Pay is based on experience and qualifications.

**Responsibilities (but not limited to)**
- Organising resources to ensure an efficient allocation to meet business needs
- Ensure all external deadlines are met
- Assist with finance VAT returns and credit control as needed
- Planning
- Troubleshooting IT issues such as printer set ups
- Stock control
- Control losses for OOD/short dated stock
- Assist management in facilitating sales growth
- Recruitment
- Performance management and disciplinaries
- Support the business through change
- Create business reports for management
- Flexibility to support other areas of the business
- Checking deliveries
- Reconciling finances
- Chasing supplies for credit notes and report errors and damage on the deliveries.

- Management experience
- Finance experience
- having worked in accounts, credit control
- Strong work ethic

- Looking after business interests and to communicate business messages positively to the employees

- Excel to be intermediate level plus
- Working to targets
- Performance management and disciplinaries
- Experience of stock control either in large stock rooms or warehouse
- Competent typing speed and some knowledge of IT Skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and implement new processes and systems quickly
- Health and Safety
- Highly organised
- Good listener
- Excellent team working skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
- Very strong customer focus
- Ability to problem solve
- Must love animals especially dogs as we have 2 on site

Desirable but non essential skills
- understanding of basic financial accounts
- online retail understanding

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
