**About us**:
Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, our crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning.

Gifts left in Wills to the RNLI fund six out of ten lifeboat launches, so legacies are crucial to our ability to continue our work into the future. We are seeking a Senior Legacy Officer to work within our legacy team, to ensure that we can meet the increasing need for our lifesaving work.

**Your role**:
As one of our Senior Legacy Officers, you will be responsible for managing a wide-ranging legacy case-load (including contentious matters), ensuring that the wishes of the legator are carried out so that legacy income is received in full. This will include:

- Handling complex legacy cases with care and professionalism to maximise income and protect the RNLI’s reputation.
- Dealing with family members, Executors, banks, Solicitors and other professionals in an efficient, decent and sensitive manner.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Working proactively and accurately to deadlines.

**About you**:
To become our Senior Legacy Officer, you will need to demonstrate:

- Experience of working with charity legacies and/or familiarity with the law relating to Wills, Probate and trusts.
- A Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration or equivalent qualification/level of experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken with a high level of attention to detail.
