University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.

Please see below for a detailed job description of the role.

Wessex Cancer Alliance brings together clinical and managerial leaders from primary care, different hospital trusts and other health and social care organisations, to transform the diagnosis, treatment and care for cancer patients. We are a dynamic core team of about 30 people that lead and inspire innovation and improvement in cancer diagnosis and care for all people in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

This is an exciting opportunity to support some key projects within Wessex Cancer Alliance's programme.

Working alongside Wessex Cancer Alliance colleagues, the post holder will be responsible for several projects aligned with the Alliance's strategic objectives. They will need motivational skills, working closely with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, clinical and non-clinical and where appropriate the wider healthcare community. They will need experience in influencing behaviour, in often challenging situations.

The WCA team work flexibly and you will be able to blend working from home, and office-based work, along with the requirement to work on-site with our service delivery providers which is an important part of our approach.

Specific to this role is the suitability for agile working which is a mixture of on-site and remote working. In addition, we are open to discussing flexibility in the hours that you work. Please talk to us at the interview about the flexibility you need, and we will explore what’s possible for the role and service. UHS employees can access a range of NHS discounts, are entitled to a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme.
