**Job Objective**

In this role, you will support our Milton Keynes team to produce the highest quality bread and pastries from our state-of-the-art mechanised line. As a **Pastry Production Operative**, you will play a key role in delivering these quality products at scale and delivering exceptional attention to detail.

**Duties**
- Carry out production activity to a consistently high standard of quality
- Carry out safe manual handling techniques
- Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment at all times
- Report any machinery defects to the Engineering team / Manager
- Follow the training you have been given (e.g. to set up machines, carry out automated machine washes, etc.)
- Support your colleagues in carrying out your duties
- Adhere to high standards of food safety, food hygiene, and quality standards
- Clean as you go, empty full bins, remove any waste from the floors, and clean machinery
- Complete all paperwork and checks as required
- Ensure correct stock rotation as required

**Person Specification**
- Experience gained in a bakery/ manufacturing is desirable but not essential
- Good standards of literacy and numeracy required
- Proactive and able to adapt to new requirements
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner
- Able to work as part of a team
- Ability to manage change and work effectively under pressure
- Able to work on own initiative and able to work flexible hours

**Contracted hours**: 40 hours - Full Time

**Hourly Rate**: £12.10

**Working Hours**: 2 pm-10 pm

**Shift Pattern**: Monday-Friday

**Location**: Tanners Dr, Milton Keynes
