A Customer service advisor is required for a food distributor located in Portbury, Bristol BS20. Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00. Paid weekly every Friday.

The Team

The Customer Service Team support our business customers with complex ordering to ensure our customers (and the people they need to feed) have the right food delivered at the right time.

More than just taking orders, you will help your customers to plan and liaise with our transport team on delivery timescales and schedules.

You will need to use creative problem solving skills to manage and resolve problems or issues that occur as quickly as possible.

In addition to your**salary of £24,207 per year**, you will receive:

- Temporary cost of living enhancement of 48p per hour (agreed until 31st December 2023.)

40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

**Responsibilities**

Day to day responsibilities
- Receive calls from customers
- Make calls to customers
- Accurate record keeping on SAP database system
- Liaising with colleagues in other departments including: stock control, transport, planning, account managers.
- Advocating for customer's needs and preferences.
- Resolving customer issues and queries quickly and efficiently, ensuring everyone involved is kept up to date.
- Negotiating a best fit solution when the customer's first choice option is not possible
- Train and support other team members.

**Qualifications**

Essential skills and experience for this role:

- Experience in a customer focused role
- Organisation and ability to nurture and cultivate a truly customer focused culture within your own team and the wider business.
- Confident using a computer and able to learn new systems.
- Experience working in a team to deliver shared objectives/targets
- An innovative approach to problem solving - being creative and continuously developing new ways to improve performance.
- Excellent customer relationship skills, both internal and external.
- Good communication skills
- with internal colleagues and external partners.
- An analytical fact based approach with a good understanding MS Word and Excel

**Desirable**:

- Experience using SAP
- Experience of CRM systems

**Salary**: £24,207.00 per year

- Day shift

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
