Part-time Veterinary Receptionist

We are in search of a friendly and welcoming receptionist to join our team at our Veterinary Ophthalmology Referral centre in Banbury. Focus Referrals provides our clients and referring vets a high-quality professional but personal service, treating patients from all over the UK. We are looking for an efficient, personable individual who can work as part of our close-knit team, as well as on their own.

**Key features of this role**:

- Greeting clients and their pets.
- Booking appointments and recording patient documents via the practice management system.
- Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries.
- Communicating with our clinical team to ensure the smooth running of the day.
- Liaising with our referring veterinary surgeries.
- Managing payments
- Assisting with pet insurance claims
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the reception area
- Construction of clinical referral letters from notes, proof reading and distribution to referring vets
- Administration and housekeeping relating to other aspects of the practice.

**Key skills required**:

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A client focussed manner and empathy towards pet ownership.
- Computer literacy is essential. Previous experience with Merlin PMS an advantage.
- Previous experience in veterinary reception work preferred.
- Positivity, enthusiasm and the ability to take the initiative.

**Schedule**:

- No weekends
- Paid overtime
- 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays + birthday leave

Specific training will be provided. Salary dependent on experience.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-18 per week

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
