Key Responsibilities
- **Cleaning**:
- Perform thorough cleaning of buses, including mopping, sweeping, and wiping down all surfaces.
- Ensure all areas of the bus, including windows, seats, floors, and dashboards, are cleaned to a high standard.
- Regularly check and refill oil and AdBlue as required.
- **Fuelling and AdBlue Management**:
- Fuel buses accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct usage of fuel and adherence to all safety procedures.
- Monitor AdBlue levels and top up as necessary to maintain vehicle performance
- **Shunting and Parking**:
- Safely shunt buses through the fuel lanes, ensuring they are properly positioned for exterior washing and parking.
- Operate buses carefully within the depot to designated parking areas.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct routine checks and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- **Time Management**:
- Demonstrate exceptional time-keeping and punctuality, ensuring all tasks are completed within the allotted time frames.
- **Additional Duties**:
- Assist with other duties as required by the management to support the overall operations of the depot.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning, fuelling and parking activities.
**Requirements**:
- **Experience**:
- Proven experience in cleaning, particularly buses or similar large vehicles.
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- **Skills and Attributes**:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- **Licenses and Certifications**:
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Additional certifications related to vehicle maintenance and safety are an advantage.
Working Conditions
- This role requires working in varying weather conditions as tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors.
- The position will involve shift work, which will be evening and weekends
