**About Our Client**:
Our client is a prominent Public Sector organisation recognised for their commitment to marine sustainability and their significant contributions to the field.

The Marine Sustainability Officer will provide support to the Policy team across a range of projects and work-streams with a focus on marine policy and planning, including national, regional and sectoral marine planning; marine natural capital; marine enhancement and restoration; marine policy development; offshore energy policy; marine environmental research; consultation responses and reporting.
- Develop and implement marine sustainability strategies and initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote marine conservation.
- Conduct research and provide expert advice on marine sustainability issues.
- Collaborate with the team to develop policies and procedures related to marine sustainability.
- Manage marine sustainability projects and initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on the progress of sustainability initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of marine sustainability.
- Contribute to the team's overall goals and objectives.

**The Successful Applicant**:
To be considered for this role you will be passionate for marine conservation and sustainability and have:

- Practical knowledge of marine planning and policy
- Knowledge and understanding of marine sustainability issues and initiatives.
- Project management skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
