We are looking for an Accounts Apprentice to join our Service Charge Arrears Team as an **Apprentice Service Charge Arrears**. We have a proven track record of developing people from Apprentice and obtaining their initial qualifications, right your way through the business.

Initially your apprenticeship will involve undertaking the industry standard AAT Level 2 & Level 3 qualifications. We will also support your progression to Level 4 & further (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) post apprenticeship, should you so wish.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career or looking for a change in career to gain a fully funded qualification whilst also receiving on the job training from our extremely experienced and supportive team.

The Service Charge Arrears Team is responsible for the effective support and assistance with Encore’s whole portfolio of Estates. This role forms a vital part of the team, and involves interaction with Leaseholders, Debt Collection Agencies and Estate Managers, as well as other colleagues within the client accounting function.

**Responsibilities** (You will be trained on how to do all of the below)
- Allocating all service charge receipts onto Qube correctly and on time
- Running the direct debit receipts routine and dealing with all correspondence
- Being first point of contact for telephone calls regarding leaseholder account queries
- Reconciling the clearing bank accounts
- Running the fortnightly arrears procedure and other monthly ad-hoc arrears routines
- Assisting with debt collection queries
- Assisting the client accounting team and other departments with day to day / adhoc duties

**Requirements**:

- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and team work skills.
- Strong IT/Computer skills - Proficient in using all Microsoft programs and comfortable picking up new systems.
- GCSE's including Maths & English at Grade 4/C and above.

Hours: 37.5 - Monday to Thursday 8:30-5pm & Friday 8:30-4:30pm

Please note the apprenticeship will require 1 day a week of study and 4 days a week working in our Cambridge office.
