As the leading arthritis charity in the UK, the health information provided by Versus Arthritis is the jewel in our crown. It provides a vital way into Versus Arthritis to get to know our other services and is an important fundraising tool to make sure that we are able to keep providing our people with the best service we can.

As Health and Research Information Editor, you will be one of the gatekeepers of this information. You will ensure it is always up-to-date to the latest guidelines, gathering impactful, credible and high-quality content from across the organisation to support our strategic goals that will inspire, engage and grow our community and liaise with colleagues across the organisation to find, gather, interpret and regularly review research content.

As part of the dynamic Creative and Content team, you will work with a range of content and creative professionals including copywriters, fellow health information experts and designers, to ensure that our content is the best it can possibly be for the people we serve.

**About the role**

Our health information is a vital resource for those dealing with the pain of arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions every day, and a trusty way for people to get to know us and find out all we can do for them.

Working in a tightly knit health information team, you will bring a new perspective to our team both in terms of your ability to write, edit and create excellent content for our print and online information. Our health information is one of the most vital services at Versus Arthritis and you will be helping people every single day, whether they are recently diagnosed with one of the conditions we support or they are looking for further support, your contributions will both be welcomed and essential to our offer.

**About you**

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

- Experience of content gathering and development, preferably of medical or health-related content for non-specialist audiences.
- Experience of using data to plan, monitor and improve content.
- Experience of working in a multitude of media, specifically in print and digital.
- Awareness/understanding of Patient Information Forum (PIF) Tick accreditation and creating and maintaining documents that follow these standards.
- An excellent communicator with experience of writing accurate and engaging content and reviewing and translating complex health information.
- Strong ability to translate complex messages for different audiences.
- Excellent language skills with an appreciation of nuance and meaning, and an eye for detail and accuracy.

*As a hybrid worker the expectation is that you will spend around 40% of your working time in our office spaces or working in community settings.
