Senior Support Worker

Overview:
We have an opportunity for a full time Senior Support Worker available (£11.65 per hour) to join the team at our comminity supported living service Amberley Slopes based in Werrington, Peterborough Cambridgeshire PE4 6QQ.
Contract working 35 hours per week which will consist of 15 hours administration and 20 hours on rota and will include some sleep in shifts paid at an additon of £44 per night.
The service provides support to 2 young gentleman with complex needs living in their own property and the team are dedicated to making a positive and long-term impact upon them by supporting their daily living skills and needs.

Then the role of a Senior Support Worker might be perfect for you As a Senior Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards to the people we support.
You'll be supporting 2 young adults with complex needs on a person-centered basis, from following care plans to administering medication and assisting with daily living.

Qualifications:
As Senior Support Worker you will supervise staff members and delegate responsibilities ensuring values based support is delivered to the highest standard so previous Support Worker experience is essential.
You will be supporting adults with mental health illnesses on a person centred basis. Tasks will include following a care plan, medication administering, accessing the community & domestic tasks such as support with shopping and daily living tasks.
On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
