**Professional Standards Department, North Wales Police**

This is an outstanding opportunity to join North Wales Police. **The role will be based at Force Headquarters, Colwyn Bay, but has been classed as Hybrid **_(Role can be performed from home more often than not. This role has maximum flexibility in where it can be carried out. If a role can be completed from home for at least 3 days per week it will be classified as hybrid. This does not mean people in hybrid roles will work from home, just that it is possible)_

You will assist in the prompt and efficient investigation of complaints and conduct matters; providing assistance to Investigating Officers in the recording of statements and the gathering of evidence in respect of complaints and conduct matters relating to staff of North Wales Police.

**Responsibilities of the role of Evidence Gatherer include**:

- Taking written statements provided by members of the public and/or staff of the Force or other sources in connection with an investigation. This will involve gathering relevant information by interviewing the person.
- Compiling files and return promptly to the Investigating Officer containing completed statements/reports to a high standard.
- Reviewing public complaints/expressions of dissatisfaction to understand the nature of the concerns raised and determine how best to approach a member of the public to resolve the complaint.

**Welsh**

North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation and for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate Level 2 Spoken Welsh skills, which means you’re able to give and ask for personal details and basic information; to make simple requests and say a few phrases about yourself in Welsh.
