Assistant Psychologist

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of an innovative neurodevelopmental team, providing assessments, support, interventions and resources. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will help with information gathering and assessment processes, co-produce client centred and clinically rigorous diagnostic reports, participate in multi-disciplinary team processes, prepare and run groups, provide time limited interventions, and play an active role in team activities and service development and evaluation.
You will be provided with regular supervision by a Clinical Psychologist, guidance from the Team Manager as well as opportunities to engage with other team members with agreed roles. There are excellent links with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme.
To assist in diagnostic procedures following evidence-based practice and NICE guidelines.
To co-produce clinically rigorous, holistic, client centred reports of the highest quality. A range of practical, problem solution and therapeutic resources are formulated. Therefore, excellent active listening skills and a person centred approach is essential in this role.
To assist with data base entry, information gathering, triage, satisfaction surveys, audit, evaluation and research activities. An organized highly motivated individual is required for this post, who is able to work autonomously within the boundaries of set responsibilities.
To assist with aspects of service developments in interventions, and integration with other services, including consultation, advice and training.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
