We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join us as our new Housing Management Coordinator. Here at Home Group in we support our brilliant customers who have low to medium support needs. They live in our Intensive Housing Management properties and ourcustomers with higher support needs live in our supported services.
As our team’s Housing and Property Guru, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers. In your day-to-day job, you’ll provide a housing management service and supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts. You’ll also help our customers withtheir housing benefit claims and make sure that these are received on their rent account.
You’ll also turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly. You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant
**About you**
As our Housing Management Coordinator, you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action whenneeded.
You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
It would be nice if you also have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans and working collaboratively.
You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills. To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe)
As this is a community-based job, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use
- When you start your job as our Housing Management Coordinator, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._
**Where and when you’ll do your job**
This is a Monday to Friday job with no weekend or bank holiday working. You say that it’s a 9-5 job, but the great news is that we are really flexible about working with you to agree a working pattern that suits your life.
It goes without saying that where we are flexible with you, you need to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
