We are looking for a detail orientated individual to come and join us as a Health & Safety Trainee. The successful will undertake their NEBOSH General Certificate & NEBOSH Fire Certificate over a two year period which afterwards they will become a fully qualified Health, Safety and Fire Advisor. The role will involve working closely with the Health & Safety coordinator to foster a safe working environment and ensure that the business is compliant with all legislative requirements placed upon it.

This role will be covering our Cambridge region and will involve predominantly working from home with travel to the office a minimum of once per week.

**Role Duties**:

- Assisting in the review of risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work and COSHH assessments.
- Transposing of reports produced by Assessors.
- Help the H&S Manager to ensure the Health and Safety Management system is established and aligns industry standards e.g. ISO 45001.
- Collation and monitoring of risk data across the business
- Supporting the investigation of accidents and incidents,
- Recording and reviewing accident and near miss reports, escalating when required.
- Monitoring of the H&S department inbox, becoming the initial contact for H&S queries.
- Review documentation provided by external contractors as part of the contractor approval process.
- Assist assessors in undertaking site audits.
- Carry out internal H&S inspections where required.
- Assist the H&S coordinator in providing H&S inductions and ensure staff training requirements are met.
- Coordinating fire safety in the Encore offices, including system monitoring and fire evacuation drills

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in Microsoft Programs
- Full UK Driving License

**No previous experience is required, however any of the below would be advantageous**:

- Previously a Fire Marshall, First Aider or Mental Health Aider
- In possession of an IOSH training certificate
- Experience with Risk assessment or managing risk
- University Level Education is advantageous.

**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year
