Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Buyer on a permanent basis.

**Job Specification**:
**The Job you’ll do**
- Build and maintain supplier relationships and identify goods and services which are value for money.
- Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders to determine business requirements and terms of pre-existing goods, services and contracts.
- Lead cost reduction programs and undertake cost-down activities as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
- Maintain continuity of supply for goods and services through agreed purchasing system parameters, (Leadtime, minimum order quantity (MOQ).
- Manage supplier performance through internal and external reviews, to ensure supplier metric performance targets are achieved.
- Undertake daily duties including the raising, processing and amendment of in-direct and direct purchase orders, expediting, receipting where required.
- Ensure payment cycles are aligned to agreements, posting proposal queries and maintaining contractual pricing within IFS business operating system.
- Maintain the approved supplier list and required records.
- Prepare daily, monthly, and quarter performance reports.
- To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.

**About You**
- To apply, you must hold a Diploma Level 4 Business Administration qualification or equivalent and be working towards or hold a CIPS Level 3 qualification.
- We also ask that you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a manufacturing role.
- An understanding of supply chain requirements and specifications are a must as well as knowledge of manufacturing systems, process control in an engineering business.
- We also ask that you can manage and review timing plan to ensure the successful implementation of goods and services.
- Knowledge of integrated management systems and of IFS or a similar Enterprise Reporting System (ERP) is desirable.
- We are looking for someone who has strong purchasing skills alongside the ability to work as part of a team within time constraints who can demonstrate a confident, thorough and motivated approach to work activities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders is required.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- The hours of work are 35 per week, Monday to Friday.
