We are urgently looking for an **Insurance Admin assistant** to work 14 hours per week (Tuesdays and Fridays). The role will be based on our Whitechapel Campus and will be paying £17.22 per hour plus holiday pay.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Routine insurance queries from university staff and students including policy coverage.
- Act as the main point of contact on all insurance matters in the Insurance Managers absence. And liaise with the Insurers, Brokers.
- Be an expert for Travel Insurance queries and travel risk management advice. Manage staff and student Travel Insurance claims. Manage the TravelCert system and run monthly reports for reporting purposes.
- Manage less complex claims from different policies e.g. motor, property and Liability
- Manage the TravelCert system for Travel Insurance, Protector dashboard for Motor Insurance Database, HSB Portal for Engineering Inspections, RMP Risk Portal for Training and risk related resources.
- Maintain the claims database and keep track of all outstanding claims.
- Support the Insurance Manager with the annual renewal submissions.
- Provide administrative support to the Insurance Manager with renewal documentation and issuing new certificates.
- Updating the Insurance webpage

**Experience and Skills**:

- The post holder must be able to work on their own initiative and have excellent communication skills
- Motivated, self-reliant and pro-active
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads
- Good IT skills using MS Office, working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Attention to detail and ability to delivery service standards
- Previous admin experience is required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £17.22 per hour

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Whitechapel, Greater London (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Whitechapel, Greater London: Relocate before starting work (required)
