Quotes from Health Care Assistants working withing the Hospice and Palliative care service
- 'I love getting to know the patients/families. It is a privilege to care for these patients at such an intimate time. Although we cannot change the outcome, we can try and make things easier. My favourite part of the role is to simply help someone feel 'like them' again even if just for a short time, E.g from giving someone a bath to painting their nails/doing hair or assisting them to sit in a chair dressed in day clothes rather than nightwear.'
- 'It is a wonderful and rewarding environment to work in and be able to make a difference to someone's life is the most powerful and humbling feeling.'
