**Volunteering Co-ordinator 0.6 FTE**

The Careers Service plays a key role in developing student employability at Goldsmiths as the College, through its new Education and Student Experience Strategy, seeks to increase the range of opportunities available for its students to gain relevant skills and experience during their time at Goldsmiths, understand how to articulate them effectively to employers and ultimately develop the agency to achieve their lifelong career aspirations. Through our committed and friendly staff, we support students through a range of activities, from skills development and recognition, employer events, advice and guidance, work placements, enterprise and volunteering, working in collaboration with academic departments and our colleagues in the Student Experience Directorate to build employability as part of a holistic student experience.

The Careers and Employability team are keen to recruit a Volunteering Co-ordinator is now being advertised. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting student employability through volunteering and those with a background in the voluntary sector are particularly welcome to apply. Based within the Careers Service, which is part of the Student Experience Directorate, this role makes a key contribution to our work in supporting student employability by expanding the range of volunteering opportunities available to Goldsmiths students. The post holder will work in partnership across the University and the local community to source and promote new and existing volunteering opportunities within the University and the local area to current students. The successful applicant will ideally hold an HNC / HND / degree and relevant recent experience. Excellent communication, relationship building, marketing, administration and organisational skills are all essential, as is the ability to work independently and to multi-task.

This post operates on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week from 9.30 - 5.30pm. Occasional evening / weekend working may be required, although this would be mínimal and time off in lieu would be applied.

The post is offered initially as a fixed term contract until 29/2/2024, but with the potential for extension for the longer term.
