- Daily interaction and main point of contact with manufacturing areas
- Ensuring shift targets and plans are met and driving teams to achieve KPI’s whilst communicating shift progress
- Day to day supervising of technician teams, to include holiday planning, absence management etc
- Assist with recruitment of new staff, to include contacting recruitment agencies, organising and being part of interviews. New starter forms and inductions paperwork etc.
- Lead and conduct appraisals of technician team
- Lead team meetings and general communications
- Driving continued widening of teams job knowledge to include technician level development and process improvement activities.
- Close working relationship with manufacturing manager, End to End Production Controllers and lead technicians

**JOB CHALLENGES**:

- Effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business.
- Leading and responsible point of contact for designated shift.
- Take an active role
- Achieving KPI’s/ targets and driving the team to achieve KPI’s
- Knowledge of process flows and tools in relevant areas
- Ensuring EHS compliance
- Working with manufacturing team to resolve staff or manufacturing issues
- Working and communicating across a large and fast paced team
- Ensuring Promis MES system and associated equipment trackers are fully utilised by teams

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Ability to lead, engage, motivate and build teams is essential
- Excellent Organisational skills, problem solving and the ability to plan ahead
- Microsoft Office experience

**PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to work with and manage staff
- Good standard of written and spoken English is essential.
- Well organised and focused on service delivery
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and work as a part of a team
- Possess a “can do” attitude and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

**_EXPERIENCE:

- Previous supervisor or staff management experience an advantage

**MISCELLANEOUS (eg Shift-working)**:

- Rotating Continental shift pattern required, EG 7am - 7pm x2 days, 7 pm-7am x2 night, 4 days off
- Flexible work hours will be required
- Ability to work across and change shift patterns if required
- Regular informal communications across shifts and manufacturing staff will be required
