Gates is a busy, dynamic, long established, family run company recognised for giving outstanding customer service.

Due to the continued expansion of our online shopping website, we are now seeking to recruit a seasonal Delivery Driver to join our friendly and highly motivated team.

This is a full-time position, working five days a week including one weekend day. Offered initially on a seasonal, temporary contract, this role may be extended at the end of the term.

**The role includes**:

- Delivering parcels and goods to customers with the highest levels of customer service at all times
- Ensuring products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition
- Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans and trucks
- Maintaining regular communication with route dispatchers
- Review deliveries with recipients to ensure they’re accurate
- Obtaining delivery confirmations from customers
- Cleaning and preparing van for the next delivery
- Assisting at the warehouse and backdoor

You will also be required to provide our white glove delivery service, assembling garden furniture for customers when required, so will need to have practical skills in this area too.

You must be courteous and prompt with a commitment to providing customers with an excellent experience. You must be thorough in making sure products are properly delivered, passionate about customer satisfaction and committed to work safety.

**You will have**:

- Excellent knowledge of the local area
- Good timekeeping skills, be punctual and presentable
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Enjoy working as part of a team and with a Driver’s Buddy
- Ability to work with little supervision when required
- Full UK driving licence with a maximum of six points

You will also have a practical approach and enjoy physical work, as some parcels can be large and heavy.

Full training and uniform will be provided.
