The post will be tenable on a fixed term basis until 31st October 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join the TTG translational research team to investigate dynamic radiotherapy induced immune tumour biomarkers in tumour and blood across a range of cancer types. This post involves the processing and analysis of samples from patients receiving radiotherapy and radiotherapy/ immunotherapy combination therapies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual from a biological or medical sciences background with experience of immunology and/or cancer research. CRUK RadNet Manchester is an ambitious translational radiation oncology programme that builds on the 10-year history of an external collaborating “One Manchester” approach to cancer team science in radiotherapy-related research. Using multi-disciplinary expertise, the Manchester RadNet team will work to address the challenges of diverse patient characteristics to achieve individualised physical and biological targeting based on real-time outcomes and work towards a deep mechanistic understanding of immune response, comorbidity, and genomics. The Centres and Units funded by the Cancer Research UK Radiation Network (RadNet) will work together to provide national leadership and vision and develop and grow the radiation research base within the UK.
