**Are you up for the challenge of working with a large reputable civil engineering contractor on a high profile heavy civils project?**

Construction & Civils Solutions Ltd currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Agent with heavy civils experience (highways experience would be preferential) to get involved with one of the busiest contractors in the UK, on a permanent basis. This role will be based close to **Inverness**.

Typical responsibilities(include but not limited to):

- Ensure contracts are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to programme.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with clients to avoid disputes.
- Excellent commercial awareness related to the works.
- Assure that all work is carried out to company safety, environmental, and Quality standards and to regularly communicate with staff and operatives.
- Carry out Safety Audits as required by line management.
- Liaise with & manage sub-contractors to ensure their strict adherence of the company Health, Safety and Environment policy and Quality standards.
- Ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.

Essential experience:

- Minimum 7 years experience in the civil engineering and construction industry.
- Experience with a main contractor.
- HNC/Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Project Manager/Site Agent within the construction industry.
- Good organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening and negotiation skills.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project 2000, Project Costing Software, CAD and Terramodel surveying packages.
- A high level of communication and language skills to orally present reports, information and responses, and chair and hold and participate in meetings with clients and other parties.
- Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedures.

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£59,808.11 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- civil engineer: 5 years (preferred)
