Level 2 Early Years Apprentice

Exwick Ark are looking for an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner. This is a great opportunity to train and develop a career of working in the early years sector.
The role of an Early Years Practitioner will involve supporting room leaders in delivering the Early Years curriculum and working with individuals and small groups within the classroom.
You will also join in with activities and help to maintain an atmosphere where the children are happy and safe. Eventually you will plan and implement activities, play opportunities and educational programmes.
Other roles include;
- Support organisational requirements for recording, storing and disclosing information and providing reports
- Supporting children’s creative and imaginative play and experiences
- Supporting children experiencing transitions and significant events
Hours: 37.00 per week

Harriet and Paula opened The Exwick Ark in 2005 when, as parents, they discovered that the existing childcare in the area didn't meet their own needs for high quality and flexible childcare provision. They initially opened a small sessional pre-school
Requirements and Prospects:
- A good communicator.
- Excellent time keeper.
- Team player.
- Previous experience of working with young children is essential.
Enthusiastic, energetic and cheerful.
Progression into employment or the advanced apprenticeship if applicable.
Training Provided:
Once a week attendance to Exeter College during term times.
You will be supported by a skills officer who will visit you in the workplace.
- Functional skills in Maths and English (where applicable)
Additional Information:
Please consider the location and the cost of travel to work and to Exeter College.
Maths and English grades 3 or above (A-D) or equivalent are desirable.
You will be required to complete an online Maths and English assessment prior to enrolling.
