**Role title**:Transport Coordinator
**Salary**: £25,000 - £30,000
**Working Hours**: 07:30 - 17:00 | Monday - Friday

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for day-to-day management of the transport operations and service delivery, for our transport team, including allocation of work to vehicles/routes. under the guidance of the Senior Waste Operations Manager.
- Contributing to daily transport planning.
- Answering incoming calls from drivers, customers, and internal divisions/ colleagues in a professional manner.
- Communicate changes with customers and internal divisions, providing updates and maintaining contact with drivers daily.
- Debrief drivers on a daily basis of working requirements and any changes to schedules/ customer requirements
- Ensure compliance of vehicles on site
- Liaising with the Workshop Manager on service schedule and maintenance requirements of the vehicle fleet.
- Engaging with the drivers, acting on issues identified with rounds/customer/site collections
- Prepare any maps or full details such as access for drivers for new site deliveries/collections.
- Preparing daily/weekly reports for management on vehicle routes/ efficiency reports
- Any other ad-hoc requirements as deemed necessary for the business that meets your experience and qualifications.

**About You**:

- Reliable and able to get on with others, with excellent verbal skills.
- Coordination and planning skills - excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Previous experience of operating within a similar industry; waste/transport/logistics.
- Previous experience in vehicle and transport compliance and WTD.
- Transport Management CPC qualification would be highly desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, within all levels of the business and to external parties
- Team player able to get involved with all elements of the company.
- Customer Care - Capable of delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
- Commercially aware with a clear focus on high quality and control of cost
- Self-motivated, with the ability to challenge.
- Calm under pressure.
- Proactive.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures at all times.
