To support, encourage and enable the children to make progress, to promote positive outcomes and provide life changing opportunities.
- Riverside Lodge is our flagship Home, it can accommodate up to and including 4 Looked After Children. The Home is substantial in size and is placed in a tranquil setting to offer children the opportunity to grow and develop in a Home that we are very proud of. We value all the adults who are on this journey with us to provide support the shape the future and lives of others.
- Responsible for working alongside individual Care Plans, to provide; age-appropriate advice, help, support and guidance for children who have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. Supports, advises and assists the children on day-to-day health, social and emotional wellbeing issues and implements routines and boundaries relevant to their individual plans. You may be allocated to undertake a “key-worker" role to ensure that individual Placement Plans are adhered to.
- You will be expected to attend/participate and contribute in relevant meetings with regards to the child and their individual Care Planning. You will be responsible for writing and submitting reports in preparation of meetings for example Children’s Looked After Reviews.
- To work alongside the policies and procedures, which ensure that the service provision is compliant. You will be expected to populate and complete records electronically by upholding confidentiality and GDPR.
- Responsible for planning and co-ordinating with other professionals/agencies as required by a Child’s individual Care Plan, to ensure that the assessed needs of Looked After young people are met.
- Working effectively together is paramount whilst striving to meet the needs of Children in Care.
- Is responsible for implementing all individual and relevant Care Plans ensuring a child’s primary care needs, including the administering of medication, facilitating health and social care appointments are adhered to. This ensures that Shore Care Services in delivering its statutory corporate parenting responsibility for those “looked after children” in our care.
- The adults within the Home will take responsibility where applicable to shift-lead within the Home’s rota pattern and in so doing complies with the relevant Standards and Regulations.
- All adults will be expected to comply with all internal policies and Procedures and for providing for the safe running of the Children’s Home.
- Other tasks such as the preparation of food and meals, whilst ensuring the children’s dietary and health requirements are being met, whilst and supporting their wishes and feelings in accordance to daily life and independence skills.
- Our Residential Support workers will be expected to manage challenging behaviour in a restorative way whilst implementing the Trauma Recovery Model.
- All the adults within the Home will have to complete the relevant Training and Development courses to enable them to meet the needs of the children within the Home.
- The Residential.Support Workers must hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent to the role (to cover Children and Young People), which is determined by our Regulator: Ofsted
- Must hold a valid UK driving License to be able to transport the children and young people on a daily basis (education, family time, activities) using the pool car, or would be paid mileage for business use.

The salary for qualified is £21,320 plus £65 per sleep-in allowance

Potential to earn to an additional £6,000 with sleep-in allowances.
