Grantham, United Kingdom United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Are you excited? Do you want to work in a new service ?

Grantham Emergency Department have had great success in the employment of Nursing Associates and the role fits incredibly well into the workforce structure. We are now a 24 hour Urgent treatment centre and know a Nursing Associate is what we are looking for. Our Nursing associate team is expanding rapidly.

We are keen to expand our Nursing Associates due to successful promotion following top up course.

We are a dynamic team of Doctors, Nurses and HCSWs that see approximately 30,000 patient each year. We expect that will be much more now as a 24 hour UTC.

Our clinical educator will support and encourage staff to develop clinically and we offer induction programmes, in-house training and teaching sessions. In addition to this, you will be supported in the clinical environment to develop paediatric skills to ensure competence.

Working with the wider multi-disciplinary team you will need to have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal alongside the ability to adapt to rapidly challenging scenarios.

No two days are ever the same, therefore a willingness to learn and embrace Emergency Care is essential.

As a Nursing Associate in the UTC you will be expected to work alongside the registered workforce demonstrating excellent attitudes and behaviours whilst prioritising care in challenging situations.

You will oversee cubicles, support in the triage of patients and care of an array of patients with different clinical needs. You will be fully functioning member of the registered workforce and therefore you will be expected to work in varying areas of the department including the resuscitation area.

We are a wonderful team ready to expand and grow in preparation for our expanding department
- this is the right time for newly appointed to be involved in the BIG changes we face.

Our Trust is situated in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire and is one of the biggest acute hospital trusts in England, serving a population of more than 700,000 people. We provide acute and specialist services to people in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties. We have an annual income of £643 million (20/21) and we employ nearly 8,500 people.

Our Board have recently agreed a new vision statement - “Outstanding Care Personally Delivered” - stating their ambition for our Trust to be among the best.

We also have a five year Integrated Improvement Plan setting out how we will achieve our strategic objectives, for patients, services, people and partners, the last recognising that our future success depends on our ability to ensure the Lincolnshire healthcare system is successful in achieving its ambition to help people live healthier lives and provide care closer to where people live.

Our latest CQC report increased our ratings for being effective and well-led from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’. Our rating for caring remained as ‘Good’.

This is in recognition of the huge amount of work that our amazing staff have done to improve the quality of care for our patients in recent years.

We are committed to helping our staff balance their work and home lives and ensure they feel supported, valued and appreciated.

What should you do next?
